
MARY MARTZ
Mary is a long-time resident of Magnolia, single,
and employed with Lockheed Martin for more than 30
years. Her career as a councilwoman is a model of
community and county service. Since Mary was first
elected in 1990, her accomplishments have been significant
and diverse. Mary is an active member of just about
every organization in the Borough. As a Councilwoman,
Mary initiated many new programs in Magnolia, such
as the Summer Youth program and park programs that
improved the facilities for our children. She will
continue to work on programs to reach out to our youth
and seniors. Currently, Mary is in charge of codes
and licensing, directs the Construction office, sits
as a liaison on the Planning Board, and the chairperson
for the Economic Development and Codification committees.
She is very interested in economic development and
improving our streetscapes along Evesham Avenue and
White Horse Pike. She says, “My objective on
Council is to make the quality of living in Magnolia
better for all citizens.” You can elect Mary
with confidence. She is informed, active, and she
has proven herself to be a valuable part of the successful
Democrat team!

STEVE WHALEN
Steve
is married with four children. He has been a resident
of Magnolia for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor’s
degree from Rowan University, and a Master’s
degree in Educational Administration and Leadership
from Rider University. Steve has been involved in
the town for many years; serving on Magnolia’s
Planning Board, Recreation Committee, and the Borough’s
Codification Committee. Presently serving as Director
of Finance and Administration, Steve continues to
work in concurrence of county, state and federal grant
programs to maintain and improve services to our town.
Steve continues to advocate for political integrity,
fiscal responsibility, and open and accessible government.
With a formal education in finance and leadership
and diverse knowledge of municipal government, Steve
recognizes that our small town must continue to be
proactive in reducing property taxes by reducing governmental
inefficiencies and promoting economic development
opportunities. Steve is committed to working collectively
for a better Magnolia. He has the experience, confidence,
and determination to keep Magnolia moving forward.
